World Handicapping System / Course & SLOPE RATING

FUNCTIONS & AUTHORITIES

• To establish and regulate a world handicap system using the USGA Handicap System unless it is replaced by another system by the EXCO;
• To work with any operator appointed by the EXCO for implementing the system;
• To monitor and control its income and expenditure within the budget approved by the EXCO and to report any deviations there from;
• To work with Affiliates and assisting them on the usage of the world handicap system;
• To make regular reports to the EXCO and to keep them fully informed;
• Chairman should constructively challenge and help develop proposals on strategy to improve the standard of the WHS
• Chairman should scrutinise the performance of management, WHS operator and its sub-committee members in meeting agreed goals and objectives and monitor the reporting of performance
• To rate the golf courses of the Affiliated Clubs in accordance with the USGA Handicap System;
• To establish limits of expenditure for its slope rater and charges to the Affiliated Clubs subject to the approved by the Executive Committee;
• To monitor and control its income and expenditure within the budget approved by the Executive Committee from time to time its activities;
• To report to Executive Committee from time to time its activities; and
• To perform such other functions as may be delegated to it by the Executive Committee.
