The highly anticipated SUKMA Malaysia (SUKMA) golf competition is just around the corner! From August 16-18, 2024, the picturesque greens of Kelab Golf Sarawak in Kuching, Sarawak, will host some of the nation’s finest young golf talents as they battle for glory.

Sarawak, the proud host of this biennial multi-sports event, has been buzzing with excitement as players from across the states have been training hard at KGS since last month. This year, all states are sending their best athletes to compete, except Negeri Sembilan and Kelantan.

In the men’s category, Sarawak’s Anson Yeo, ranked 483rd in the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR), and Perlis’ Hariz Hezri, ranked 589th, will be ones to watch. On the women’s side, J X Ng, representing Kuala Lumpur and ranked 162nd, and Perak’s Wang Xin Yao, ranked 427th, are set to showcase their skills.

Of course, all eyes will also be on Sarawak’s star, Mirabel Ting, currently 19th in the world, and Perak’s Andrew Yap, ranked 328th.
