Mohamad Hisyam Abdul Majid, MGA's overseas based player staved off strong challenges from team mate Gavin Kyle Green to win the overall title of the Selangor Amateur Open with even par 72 today for a 1-over par 217 tournament total. With this win, he automatically qualifies to compete in the star-studded Maybank Malaysian Open to be held at Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club from March 4-7, 2010.

Kenneth De Silva took the opening round lead of the Selangor Amateur Open 2009 after carding even par 72 at the challenging Lakes Course of Kelab Rahman Putra.

Selangor Amateur Open 2009 is currently underway at the prestigious Kelab Rahman Putra Malaysia, Sungai Buloh, Selangor from January 26-27, 2010 for the ladies and from January 26-28, 2010 for the men. The National Trial is held concurrently with this event.
